IBM 장비의 QR코드

요새 나오는 IBM 서버를 보면 QR코드도 있다. 스캐너로 읽어보니 그안에 머신타입 시리얼번호등이 입력되어있는 듯하다.

하나만 찍어봐서는 몰랐는데, 다른 기종을 찍어보니 이제는 어떤부분이 머신타입인지 시리얼번호인지가 확인이 된다. IBM문서에서 QR코드에 대해서 나온것을 PDF 파일로 본 것 같은데 어떤 문서인지 기억이 나질 않아 구글링에도 찾기가 어렵고 그래서 다른 장비가 있길래 비교를 해보았다. IBM 고객지원센터도 QR코드에 대해서 알지 못하더라..

System  X 서버의 경우 QR코드가 위처럼 나온다.

0631P는 머신타입

S 시리얼번호

3V는 EID

1P는 PID를 뜻한다고 한다.

 

 

*결국 찾아냈다. IBM EID PID 라고 검색을 하니 IBM 글로벌 라벨링 이라는 문서가 검색이 된다.

31P    :      Machine type is IBM’s standard method to identify a product family. The Model is a
                variation of a machine type. This element is required.

 

S       :      All assets that require asset tagging will have a serial number that uniquely identifies the 
                product, when matched with the machine type model or the product ID. The serial number
                must be included on the Asset Tag

 

3V     :      The EID is a unique code assigned to IBM by an independent organization. For this purpose,
                the company identifier assigned by GS1-US is required to be used globally for IBM branded
                products. The number shown in the example column is the correct EID value

 

1P     :      A Product ID identifies a fixed configuration of a machine type. This element is required in addition   

                to machine type model if a Product ID is assigned

 

그럼 06이라는 숫자는 무엇을 의미하는 것일까?
